Jon Batiste’s Partner Is So Beautiful – Age, Height, Net Worth

Jonathan Michael Batiste, or as the whole world knows him, Jon Batiste, is one of the most charmingly gifted musicians.

The way he holds a crowd and makes them tap their feet in pleasure is uncanny.

Not only that but, he’s also a very amazing partner to his girlfriend of over a decade now. Meet Batiste and his partner-in-crime, Suleika Jaouad.

How Did Suleika Jaouad Meet Jon Batiste?

We are starting right from the top, ladies, and gentlemen.

Batiste and Jaouad met back in 2001 when both of them were in their early teenage days.

During that time, Batiste had braces, was awkward and shy around people. But when handed an instrument, he showed people just what he was capable of.

On the other hand, Jaouad was just a casual teenager who was passionate about music as well.

Both of their passions led them to a band camp, which, according to Jaouad, is “the most awkward place on earth.”

When Jaouad saw Jon play for the first time, she thought that there was something special about him.

“Jon and I met when I was 13, and he was 14—and if that weren’t awkward enough, it was at the most awkward place on earth: band camp.”

Since then, Jaouad and Batiste kept in touch and eventually began dating.

Over the years, Jaouad has seen Batiste evolve to become the best of him, and that’s the same with Batiste as well.

In 2020, it’s already two decades now since Jaouad and Batiste have remained together.

I’ve always been drawn to strays—the muttier, scruffier, more mischievous and feral, more utterly untrainable the better. (Hey there, Oscar.) I suppose, like so many other humans, I’m doing a bit of projection. As a triple citizen of Switzerland, Tunisia, and the United States who’s never felt like I fully belong anywhere, I relate to the stray’s search for a home . . . . Uh, anyway. So once upon a time, Elizabeth Barrett Browning had a cocker spaniel named Flush, about which she wrote multiple poems. Virginia Woolf was so delighted by them that, she penned the spaniel’s biography, in which he travels from an English hamlet to London, encountering various threats, canine and human. . It’s an absurd premise, parodying both biography and aristocracy. But it’s also a tremendous act of imagination and empathy, conjuring the world through the eyes of another—in how they see and think, what they value and dear god the rabbit trails. . Today, we share with you an excerpt of Woolf’s Flush, and a prompt inspired by it. . And now, having sufficiently chased my tail, it’s time for a nap, 🤍 Suleika . . . DAY 34 – ODE TO MUTTS . “Oh, Flush” said Miss Barrett. For the first time she looked him in the face. For the first time Flush looked at the lady lying on the sofa. . Each was surprised. Heavy curls hung down on either side of Miss Barrett’s face; large bright eyes shone out; a large mouth smiled. Heavy ears hung down on either side of Flush’s face; his eyes, too, were large and bright: his mouth was wide. There was a likeness between them. As they gazed at each other each felt: Here am I—and then each felt: But how different! Hers was the pale worn face of an invalid, cut off from air, light, freedom. His was the warm ruddy face of a young animal; instinct with health and energy. Broken asunder yet made in the same mould, could it be that each completed what was dormant in the other?” . —Virginia Woolf, Flush: A Biography (1933) . Your prompt for today: . Write a scene from an imaginary biography of a pet. It can be yours or a take on the secret life of someone else’s pet. Extra points if it’s written from the pet’s perspective. . #theisolationjournals
