She walked away with a Bachelor of Science in Climatology and Hydrology, pretty solid prep for her meteorologist gig.

Back in her college days, she got her hands dirty with internships, helping forecasters and digging into tornado research.

That’s what kicked off her path to TV weather.

Salary, Net Worth

Star’s weather career kicked off in 2014 at WIFR in Rockford, Illinois, where she handled weekend evening forecasts.

Later, she slid over to WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin, taking on the morning show and tutoring some junior high kids in science and math on the side.

Come 2018, she landed at WTTV in Indianapolis, Indiana, then moved up to CBS4 Weather Authority, doing morning and noon shows.

Her reach stretched to Nexstar’s DCW50 in Washington, D.C., where folks loved how she broke down the weather in a way that actually made sense.

When 2020’s pandemic hit, she put together an online “Weather School” to get people into atmospheric science.

By January 2023, she was bragging on Facebook about snagging the manager spot at the Fantastic Sams salon at 1505 S. Glenburnie Rd in New Bern, North Carolina.

This gig’s a whole different beast, face-to-face with clients instead of cameras, plus a schedule that’s not all over the place.
