After graduation, Claytor began focusing on dancing primarily because that’s what she wanted to pursue professionally.
She joined the School of Dance Arts located in her hometown Mechanicsville and began training for ballet.
In mid-2017, Ryan got selected at Alvin Ailey Dance Company in their professional level Summer Intensive.
Since her selection at Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Claytor has fallen in love with Horton.
“Horton is my all-time favorite,” she says. “It’s angular, it’s precise, it’s sharp, but it also has a little bit of flow to it.”
Ryan also visits her old dance school, where she teaches newer students.
