Deaf and Hearing
From birth, Abigail and her older sister lacked congenital hearing ability. This caused a lot of stress for their parents.
Rachel Heringer underwent surgery for a cochlear implant, which allowed her to hear. Rachel was the youngest patient to undergo such surgery at the age of 2 years old.
When the Heringer couple found out that their second daughter also suffered from similar hearing issues, Abigail also underwent cochlear implant surgery at the age of two.
For anyone who does not know already, a cochlear implant is a device that electrically stimulates the cochlear nerve, thus transmitting sound.
This implant surgery is one of the safest, with only 0.2% chances of issues.
Abigail also openly mentioned her hearing condition in her application form for the Bachelor’s.
Education, School, College
Heringer went to South Salem High School in 2009. Abigail’s grandfather, Weston Heringer Jr., also went to this same high school and graduated in 1966.
Abigail graduated from South Salem High School in 2013 and quickly continued further studies.
In 2013, right after high school graduation, Abigail joined Linfield College and pursued science and finance.
In 2017, Abigail graduated from Linfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree, along with Finance.

Abigail Heringer Career, Job
Abigail began working while she pursued a university degree. She began working as a social media marketing intern at Suite 4 in 2015.
At the same time, she also worked as a Student Ambassador for Portland Trail Blazers. While Abigail worked as an intern and student ambassador for multiple institutes, her professional career began in 2019.
In 2019, Abigail worked as an Investment Analyst at RVK, Inc. At RVK, Abigail was later promoted to Senior Investment Analyst and later to Manager Research Analyst.
In June 2019, Heringer worked as a Real Estate Valuations Analyst at The Hold Group.
Most recently, in 2020, Abigail began working as a Client Financial Manager at Opus Agency.
However, because of COVID-19 and the recession-like condition it has brought to the world economy, companies are letting their employees go.
Similarly, Opus Agency has furloughed Abigail for the moment.
On a bright note, this has allowed Abigail to focus on the show without any distractions.
Boyfriend, Dating, Relationship
Unlike Matt James, Abigail does not have any traces of a love affair or any such social media activity that points in that direction.
You could just say that Abigail Heringer is single at the moment.
But, since she received the first impression rose from Season 25’s handsome hunk, there’s a pretty hefty chance that she won’t remain single by the end of the show.
However, Abigail’s mother, Suzanne Heringer, is a little skeptical about the show’s way of finding love.
In each round, any beautiful woman who does not receive a rose from Matt gets eliminated.
Suzanne Heringer exclaims how it’s not a great way to meet a forever person.
“To be honest. I don’t think this is a great way to meet your forever person.”
That’s a very good reason to feel uncomfortable for Abigail’s mother because, in all combined 39 seasons of The Bachelor, less than a dozen couples are together.
However, she does focus on the bright side, stating that it’s actually a very safe way of dating during the whole pandemic situation.

Abigail On Season 25 of The Bachelor
Abigail’s mother claims that her daughter is not the kind of person who goes for reality shows.
As it turns out, as her Heringer herself, she applied as a contestant on a whim.
She also openly revealed her hearing condition on her application, something that Abigail talks about very rarely.
Although Heringer did not apply seriously, she made a cut among 6,500 other applicants, a record applicants’ number so far.
Before Abigail departed for shooting at Pennsylvania Resort, Suzanne humorously reminded her daughter that grandparents would watch the show as well.
Just to make it stick with her.
When it comes to wardrobe, contestants are on their own as the show does not pay anyone.
That said, Abigail is someone who likes to keep things simple. The Heringer family, which fully supports this endeavor, believes that the lightest and least expensive baggage is Abigail’s.
Needless to say, Abigail will not get to tell anything relating to the show because of the confidentiality agreement that she signed.
