Floyd Myers, the brother and former business manager of Heavy D, filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court related to Heavy D’s will.
According to the documents, Heavy D wrote a will in 1999, lost it years ago, but gave a copy to Floyd.
The will specifies that Floyd should inherit all of Heavy’s assets, and it was signed before Heavy D’s daughter, Xea Myers, was born.
Heavy D’s estate reportedly held $320,000 in listed assets, with the possibility of additional funds in future royalties and other undiscovered accounts.
Floyd’s lawyer stated that the filing is a formality to clear title on a condo co-owned by the brothers so that Floyd can sell it.
Additionally, Floyd’s lawyers clarified that Floyd aims to take over the estate until Heavy’s daughter comes of age.
