Ben’s family had a history of health problems related to being big.
He and other family members were on the heavy side.
Despite weighing 152 kg, Ben never took any active steps to control his weight gain.
But it was when his daughter Helen was born that he really wanted to be healthy. He wanted to see her grow up.
His dad’s emergency bypass surgery showed him that being overweight was very risky.
It made him realize he needed to change his habits for a healthier life. He started a strict routine. He fasted at certain times, watched his carbs and calories, and exercised regularly.
As he got healthier, people noticed he lost a lot of weight. He’s lost about 55 pounds, which is around 24 kg or about four stones. Now, he’s living a much healthier life.
Erin, who affectionately refers to her husband as “big,” shared,
“He gets up at 4:30 every morning to play basketball in the backyard. I won’t complain about it. It’s great for his heart, and I don’t mind if it wakes me up.”
Despite the potential for morning disruptions, Erin chooses not to make a fuss, contributing to the harmony in their relationship, which is evidently working exceptionally well.

Ben and Erin had their first encounter during their university days. Both were attending Mississippi University.
Surprisingly, after only six days of meeting Erin, Ben confided to her that he was in love and wanted to marry her.
On September 21, 2007, Ben proposed to Erin and asked her to marry him.

Child Birth Struggle & Family
After they got married, they started thinking about having a family. They were excited until some really bad news came.
It was a nightmare no woman wants to experience. Erin found out she had a burst appendix, and it made it hard for her to have kids. But she got better, thankfully.
Also, their strong marriage got even stronger when they had their first daughter, Helen Napier, in January 2018.
